Sid Sinha – Partner and Head of Strategy.

I have over 30+ years of experience in the investment markets, taxation, banking, wealth management and real estate.

In the last 5 years, I have helped over 300 clients buy properties in high returning suburbs across major cities in Australia.

It’s fair to say that I love investing and have held a passion for real estate long before I completed my first degree in Engineering while in my early 20’s.

Purchasing my first property at 23, I continued to invest whilst developing my career for over 3 decades in the fields of Engineering, Economics, Finance, Investments, Tax and Real Estate.

In 1997, I was appointed as a Policy Adviser to the Commonwealth in Canberra, where I administered the then ‘Infrastructure Borrowing Tax Offset Scheme’ with the responsibility to select private engineering infrastructure projects for a federal tax incentive. This proved to be an ideal apprenticeship to gain valuable knowledge and skills in investment analysis and tax planning.

With first-hand experience as an investor, and equipped with high level knowledge in investments, I had the pleasure of teaching at the Business and Finance Faculty of University of Canberra during the late 90’s. This ignited a further desire in me to do more to teach others about investments and finance.

In the early 2000, my true passion for real estate and investments saw me make a decision to move back to Perth, away from public service politics, to help others more directly in the area of investments. Over the coming 15 years, I continued to gain valuable experience in the field of financial planning and wealth management as the Managing Partner within a large financial institution.

Here, I headed a team of wealth managers working exclusively with private bank clients. I had the privilege of managing wealth of senior executives, famous sports identities and wealthy business owners, many earned a yearly income in excess of a million dollar. I helped my clients to build, grow and protect significant wealth through property, shares and self-managed superannuation.

By the nature of this work experience, I gained insights into the financial journey of the rich on one hand, while on the other, I gained knowledge and experience in mortgage and financial planning.

Subsequently I was head hunted by an international tax accounting firm where I lead a team of tax professionals.

Five years ago, I founded Property Managers WA (PMWA), to help my loyal customers, friends and family to buy quality properties and manage their property portfolios. Similar to P16, the PMWA business is built on referrals from our past clients from ground up and today manages nearly 400 properties across PERTH. More recently I have been sharing my passion, knowledge and experience at the grassroots to improve financial education and wellbeing of ordinary Australians.

Today I am fortunate enough to personally hold a sizable property and share portfolio and a Self-managed super fund that holds a variety of direct investments. I hold the following formal qualifications:

  1. Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering
  2. Masters of Business Administration (Finance major)
  3. Graduate Diploma of Investments and Financial Planning (FINSIA)
  4. Accredited Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
  5. Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking
  6. Accredited Financial Tax adviser and SMSF adviser
  7. Industry qualification as Real Estate Licensee
